Maths Worksheet Generator

Make a fresh set of arithmetic questions, with space to work and an optional answer key.

Both numbers in every question stay within this range, for all operations. Answers may exceed the maximum. Division uses a nonzero divisor and a whole-number answer.

Choose the numbers, then practise

Start with Beginner for operands from 1 to 10, Intermediate for 1 to 100, or Advanced for 1 to 999. Adjust either limit to focus on a smaller range. For example, choose subtraction with operands from 5 to 15, or practise multiplication and division with operands from 1 to 12.

Generate creates a set of questions. Regenerate draws another set; a small pool may repeat questions from an earlier worksheet. Changes to the operation, range, or question count require Generate before export. Title, paper, layout, and answer-key settings preserve the current questions.

All 10, 20, or 30 questions fit on one worksheet page with compact spacing. Boxed grid puts each horizontal question in its own outlined box. Vertical arithmetic places matching units, tens, and hundreds in columns. Division stays horizontal, including in a mixed worksheet. Use the preview tabs to check the worksheet and key. The page count shows exactly what the PDF will contain. Print on matching A4 or Letter paper at actual size.

Maths worksheet questions

How does Mixed work?

Questions are shared as evenly as possible across addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. With 20 questions there are five of each; with 10 or 30 the operation counts differ by at most one.

Can subtraction be negative or division have remainders?

No. Subtraction always starts with the larger operand. Division selects exact multiples with both the dividend and nonzero divisor inside your operand range, so every answer is a whole number.

Why might a small range not work?

The generator uses unique questions within each operation and treats reversed addition or multiplication pairs as the same question. If the pool is too small, it explains which operation needs more questions. Increase the range or reduce the count.

What does a difficulty preset change?

It sets the operand range for every operation. You can then edit either limit, including setting the minimum to zero. A narrow range may contain too few exact division questions; widen it or reduce the question count. These are practical practice options, not a claim of formal curriculum alignment or a recommended grade level.

Can I leave out the answers?

Yes. Turn off Include answer key to export only worksheet pages. This does not change the questions. Every page has blank Name and Date fields and no printed page number.

Is my input saved?

No. All generation and PDF creation happen locally in the browser. Print opens the generated worksheet PDF. Browser-added headers and footers when printing a web page directly are controlled by the print dialog.
