Names, titles, answers, and clues stay in your browser

Names, puzzle titles, word lists, answers, and clues entered into our generators are processed locally with JavaScript. Our generators do not send these inputs to a server, automatically place them in URLs, log them, or store them in cookies, local storage, or an account. Changing or closing the page discards input held in memory. Downloaded PDFs contain the input used to create them, so store and share them thoughtfully.

Previously shared crossword links

Crossword Maker can still open previously created links containing entered content and settings in the fragment after #. Anyone with such a link can read its content. The fragment is not sent in the website request, and no backend storage is used. Opening or saving a link can retain it in browser history. The maker no longer offers a Copy Link button.

Website requests

Your browser requests the website pages, scripts, styles, and fonts from the website’s server. The hosting provider may maintain normal access and error logs containing technical information such as an IP address, requested path, time, and browser details. Generator input fields are not included in these requests. Log handling and retention depend on the hosting configuration.

No tracking or advertising by default

This version does not include analytics, tracking scripts, advertising scripts, third-party font requests, or account features. The public pages do not use session cookies. Browser caching of static website files may occur. An optional advertising placeholder is disabled by default and does not load an advertising service.

PDFs and printing

PDF generation happens on your device. Downloaded files remain wherever you save them. When you print or share a PDF, your operating system, printer, PDF viewer, or chosen sharing service handles that action under its own settings.

Contact

If you choose to send an email through the contact details, your email provider and the recipient process that message. Please avoid sending children’s names or other sensitive information.

Changes

This policy describes Name Activity Pack, Word Search Maker, Crossword Maker, and Maths Worksheet Generator. It should be reviewed before features such as analytics, advertising services, or online storage are introduced.
