A LITTLE HELP GETTING STARTED

Ready, set, pencil.

A personalized pack is a few choices away. Start with one page and follow your learner’s pace.

  1. Enter a name. Open the Name Activity Pack generator. Use up to 20 characters with English letters, spaces, hyphens, and apostrophes. “Emma,” “Mary Jane,” and “O’Neil” all work.
  2. Choose your letters. Keep the name as entered, or choose all uppercase or lowercase. Pick small, medium, or large letters. Longer names fit automatically.
  3. Match your paper. US Letter is 8.5 × 11 inches. A4 is 210 × 297 millimeters. Select the paper actually loaded in your printer.
  4. Preview all five pages. Use the arrows beneath the sheet to check tracing, coloring, missing letters, tiles, and writing practice.
  5. Download or print. Download saves one five-page PDF. Print opens that same PDF for printing; if the print dialog does not appear, use the provided PDF link. Choose portrait orientation and actual size (100%).

Keep it playful

Say the letters together, trace with a finger before using a pencil, or color one letter at a time. Use child-safe scissors with adult supervision for the letter tiles. Repeated letters each have their own tile; spaces and punctuation are already shown in the building area.

Make a word search, too

Open the Word Search Maker and enter a title and up to 30 unique words, one per line. Choose a difficulty and grid size, then Generate. Check both Puzzle and Answer key tabs. If you change a setting, generate again before exporting. Download or print the same two-page PDF on Letter or A4.

Printing not working?

Allow the local PDF to open, or download it and print from your usual PDF reader. Check that your printer and pack use the same paper size. Turn off headers and footers if your browser offers them. This site needs JavaScript and the bundled fonts to create worksheets; a clear message appears if those files cannot load.
